French Duo Cassius
Hip Hop is well known for sampling beats from popular songs and making the catchy soundbite theirs. Kanye West and Jay-z flipped this tradition upside down by taking a less known song and making it huge. Cassius released their version in 2011 and Jay-Z and Kanye west adopted the song with their album release in 2012.

Which one do you prefer? My favourite part about the Kanye West and Jay-Z is the "I love you" part and could do without the rapping so when I discovered Cassius' original version I was ecstatic. I like both versions but for different occasions. The Cassius version is great for listening to at home and the Kanye West and Jay-Z version is definitely better for parties or clubs.
