This morning- head full of excitement about being back in New York City, Rita Ora woke me up. I am not  a big morning person---which basically means that I stay in bed until a bullet forces me out of bed. Rita Ora was that bullet today. I could not for the life of me figure out whether Jennifer Lopez was trying to be a Latino hooker, or if Rihanna suddenly grew her hair and died it blond once again- but was once again confused when I listened to the music a little closer  I thought it was Carly Rae Jepsen's new song. What is frustrating with today's pop culture is that there is no originality. Everyone seems to have either the same sense of style, or sense of music.

I have successfully spent my first ever, 27 hours in New York City so far. I sat through a few hours at a Stabucks in China Town waiting for my hotel to check me in, people watching. There are so many beautiful people here, it's amazing. Anyone who knows me well enough will know that I love fashion and dressing up rather than down. There is something about sweats (as an every day ensemble), that makes me depressed. It shows that the person is either too lazy to put on anything decent or just simply doesn't care what she/he puts on his body and how flattering or un-falttering the outfit may be. New Yorkers have an aesthetic that I can relate to and tend to favor over any other.  I am curious and excited to explore the city.

Paris Metro Map

In a couple of weeks I will be moving to New York City for an internship.  I am super excited to be able to work with the wonderful girls at Vagabond NYC. For me, maps of the transportation or metro say a lot about a city (how big it is, how accessible, or how confusing etc.) so I wanted to put together maps of the subway/metro/tube of cities I have visited or lived in ( except London, but I love the London Tube logo) to compare.
