I have decided to begin a series of vocabulary posts that will feature a word I have randomly selected from the dictionary. Each Friday, I will grab my Oxford Dictionary of Current English, close my eyes, and randomly select a page and consequently a random word which will be featured in the Friday's Patoi post.
My intention is to build my vocabulary while introducing you, my lovely readers, to a possibly more colloquial language that might or might not become a part of your vernacular.
Today's featured word is: decrepitude (We'll start with an easy one.)
According to the Oxford Dictionary of Current English, the definition of decrepitude is: (n) 1. worn out by age and infirmity 2. worn out by long use
This decrepit 600 year old bra was recently discovered under the floor boards of Austria's Lengberg Castle along with string underwear. You can read more about it here.
